Taj Mahal. The city was a special place for the Mughal emperors as it was this city where the Mughal dynasty founder Babur laid out the first formal Persian garden and Akbar built his towering fort. However, it’s the famous monument by Shah Jahan called
Taj Mahal that has placed the city on the world map. Known to symbolize eternal love and imagination, the monument was built by the emperor as a tribute and a resting place for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. With perfectly symmetrical towers, the place can almost seem like a mirage as it looks as if its floating in air from distance. A dream made of white marble and surrounding by expansively landscaped gardens and wells, the place needs to be seen to be believed. Day 4: Jaipur - Pushkar

Amber Fort after breakfast. Considered to be one of the most famous forts of Jaipur, the fort is built entirely of red sandstone and has a beautiful interiors boasting of the bygone era royal opulence. There are several buildings of prominence such as Diwan-i- Aam, Sheesh mahal and the Sukh mahal. Having influences of both Hindu and Muslim architecture, the place is an amalgamation of both the artistic styles of both the religions of the era. Built by Seth Dharna Sah, a Jain businessman and Rana Kumbha, the temple complex is considered to be one of the most important as well as the largest of all temples of Jain cult. With some exquisitely carved pillars, the temple was also once considered to be included amongst the top Seven Wonders of the World, though the same was not finalized in the end. However, undoubtedly the place is a must see for art buffs and history enthusiasts as the place symbolizes a rich heritage of the religion and the country as a whole. Enclosed within the walls of the fort are several beautiful palaces much visited for their intricate carvings and large expansive courtyards. The long narrow scented lanes seem to take you nowhere in particular as they wind through the fort interiors.
