Pouplarly known as the Gautam Kund, Chandrabani temple is situated nearly 7 kms from Dehradun. According to the legends, Maharishi Gautam along with his wife Ahilya and daugter Anjani lived here. It is also believed that the daughter of heaven - Ganga had manifested herself on this spot, which is now popularly known as the Gautam Kund. Every year devotees, in large numbers, take a dip in this holy kund. Apart from its religious importance the place offers a beautifu view of the Shivalik hills.
