Description:
The stunningly beautiful waterfalls, the Victoria Falls, originate from a small stream of Kalijhora and are located nearly in the heart of the city. Cascading down with a drop of 30.5 meters, the water rushes through deep ravines to the valley below.
At the Sidrapong Power Station the water of the Victoria Falls is harnessed for generating electrical power. The Sidrapong Power Station takes care of the entire power supply of Darjeeling and its suburbs and was the first Hydro Project in India.
