Description:
The Hanuman temple of Allahabad is unique as the idol of the God is in reclining position. No place in the northern part of India has this kind of idol and therefore it is of great importance. A popular belief is that every year during monsoon the water of River Ganga rises and recedes only after touching the feet of the idol.
