Taptapani is a hot water spring in the Eastern Ghats of Orissa in the district of Ganjam 50 km from Berhampur. Located at a distance of 174 km from Bhubaneswar, Taptapani is a natural spa village due to the presence of hot water springs throughout the year. It is also home to a number of primitive tribes which makes it a place of interest to anthropologists and sociologists.

Taptapani is a hot waterfountain in Odisha. The name is in local oriya language which means “Tapta” means hot and “pani” means water. This spring water has medicinal values and people take bath to cure skin diseases.
