Morning visit
Elephanta caves.Earlier known as Gharapuri, the island capital of Konkan Mauryas is famous for its beautiful caves. These caves are located on a small island of Gharapuri, in the Arabian sea near Mumbai. The caves date back to 6th century A.D. and is a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian rock-cut architecture, and filled with exquisite stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, especially devoted to Lord Shiva. At the entrance of the cave is the famous Trimurti, the Creator: Brahma, the Protector: Vishnu and the Destroyer: Shiva all three in unison. Other than this most of the sculptures denote Lord Shiva in his various moods and forms.Afternoon visit Mumbai (Bombay) the commercial capital of India. Although Buddhist and Hindu dynasties ruled the region until around the 13th century, there were only scattered settlements on the island. Once, a sultry tropical archipelago cluster of seven islands, the British developed Bombay merging the seven islands into one.

Full day visit to Banni Villages; famous for its embroidery and handicrafts like block printed fabrics, painted pottery, ethnic silver jewellery and beadwork bags. Ivory and Rosewood inlay is used to fashion souvenirs like nutcrackers, paper knives, handles for walking sticks etc. The interiors of a typical Kutch home are colourful and vibrant, embellished with traditional handicraft. Day 5: Bhuj - Gondal

Morning proceed by road to Gondal via Dhamadka.Gondal is a picturesque town with gracious architecture, wide tree lined roads and European lamp-posts. Arrive and stay at the Hotel.The oldest palace in Gondal, the 17th century Naulakha palace is a festival of stone carvings with exquisite Jharokha Balconies, fabulous pillared courtyard, delicately carved arches and a unique spiral staircase.
